What is LH (luteinizing hormone)? Luteinizing hormone, or “LH”, is a type of reproductive hormone that is produced by both men and women. In men, LH helps to stimulate the production of testosterone. In women, LH helps to stimulate the production of estrogen, specifically oestradiol (E2), and then progesterone if ovulation happens.
