WebSep 24, 2020 · Schrödinger’s equation is a linear, second-order, partial differential equation that governs the time evolution of a particle wavefunction, and is generally easier to solve than the integral equation ( [e2.78] ). Of course, Equation ( [e2.84]) is only applicable to freely-moving particles.
