The following pediatric blood pressure chart shows the normal ranges by age. The systolic blood pressure (the top number) equals the pressure in the arteries as the heart contracts. The diastolic pressure (the bottom number) is the pressure in the arteries as the heart relaxes. Normal blood pressure is below 120/80. 0 to 3 months: 65–85/45–55 3 to 6 years: 95–110/60–75 6 to 12 years: 100–120/60–80 12 to 18 years: 110–135/65–85
