When is an atrial septal aneurysm identified incidentally?The condition is seen in all ages, ranging from neonates to the ninth decade of life. Patients with LAAA may be asymptomatic, and the anomaly may be detected incidentally during cardiac imaging, or they may present with dyspnea, palpitations, and/or thromboembolic phenomena (2, 3, 4).
Can we predict stroke in atrial fibrillation?The technique was also exceptionally predictive in subsets of individuals, such as those who had a prior stroke or heart failure.
