WEBJul 15, 2023 · In a large, deep skillet, heat the butter or olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic if using, and then lightly dredge each artichoke heart in flour, shaking off any excess. Place the artichokes in the skillet and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Cook the artichokes, turning them once or twice, until they are nicely browned all over.
